The type of motivating factor, we encourage decides our path towards success. Motivating factor is one of the criteria to describe our end. Attitude with which we express our action is motivating factor. Motivating factor propels our action and thoughts towards success. Quality of motivating factor decides whether we rise from defeat or not. Adolf Hitler used vanity and ego as a motivating factor. Observe his end. He rose to the highest position in his country with help of ego and pride. He displayed his arrogance through killing of Jews to confirm that his race is superior over the rest of the race in the world. His action resulted in World War II. When he was defeated, he couldn’t rise from the failure because his vanity and pride was defeated, which was used as a motivating factor. He found his end by killing himself.
Now, consider Mahatma Gandhi, he used non-violence and peace as a motivating factor to fight against British for freedom of India. Even when he failed in hands of British, he rose from defeat because of the quality of the motivating factor he selected. He attracted large number of people because of quality of motivating factor with which he motivated people. Gandhi stills rises against any discredit towards his name, even after 50 years of death anniversary.
Quality of motivating factor determines quality of our life. Attitude and character should be used as a tool to form motivating factor.

Nice concept, but, you would have given an example with a different character whose is not known to the world but best in character. Better luck next time
Comparison between Hitler and Gandhi was apt. Still as Kasi said some unknown comparisons would have kindled our curiosity.
