A man went to his spiritual master to find a solution to his problem. Paying his obeisance to his master, he requested him as follows, “My lord! My position and environment doesn’t provide any joy or happiness. Kindly Guide me to a place where I can find complete happiness.”
Spiritual master directed him to travel along the northern part of the world. He went as directed by his teacher. But, he returned soon and explained, “The climate in northern part is difficult to adapt than my native environment.” Then his master asked him to move towards southern region. He returned even from south stating that it was infiltrated with terrorist. Then, the guru directed towards west and east. But, he returned stating some difficulties in each direction.
Now, the guru wanted to edify him with knowledge about life. So, he said, “Son, you can’t attain happiness in any place in the world except from your native environment.”
This story is an analogy as searching for peace of mind from outside. Peace of mind is intrinsic and available abundant within us. If we search outside, we won’t face with it. But, if we search it inside, we can experience infinite happiness.
