PEACE IN LIFE THROUGH PEACE IN MIND

Every religion describes attainment of God’s feet after death will be the highest purpose of human life. Similarly, during our life, our highest purpose should be attainment of peace of mind. Peace of mind guided by attitude and character is needed for better living. Attitude and character are two limbs of complete formation of peace of mind. Making our mind void of thoughts through meditation is one way towards peace of mind.

Even a rich man is void without peace of mind. Success achievers devote themselves for their purpose, but never compensate peace of mind for anything. Purpose guided by peace of mind will be their ultimate objective. Water can be compared with mind. “We can swim swiftly only in calm water, but not in an agitated waters.”

A grandson asked his rich grandfather, “Dear papa, what was your secret behind your success?” Grandfather replied, “I don’t know the way to succeed, but I know the way towards peace in life.”

By making our mind peaceful, we make ours and others peaceful. When peace of mind is ultimate objective, money, position, and ego lose its value. Many saints and seers in India, who were opulent once, have sacrificed their riches for sake of peace of mind through religious salvation. Only through clear sky, light penetrate. Similarly, through clear mind happiness flourishes. We are not losers of anything in life except peace of mind. So, we don’t require just rich, prosperous nations, but happy, peaceful nations in the world.

QUOTE:
“You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.”
- Rumi
