ATTITUDE DECIDES RICH OR POOR

A student went to his spiritual teacher and asked, “Why my lord! A poor becomes weaker day by day, while a rich becomes stronger as day passes?” The guru smiled and answered, “Son, you fail to understand the real meaning of their life.” Since the spiritual teacher was talented in prophesies, he directed his student to observe two families in order to find solution to his problem. One of the families was rich and the breadwinner was making cross-nation marketing. Another family was poor and head of the family owned a small wayside hotel.

Rich family was making profit through business without failures for years. The poor family was finding difficult to develop from present situation. Though with poor life, head was rich in character and determination guided with good attitude wife. Even in this pathetic situation, they had faith that they could find a bright future.

The country faced with successive famine. During such difficult situation, rich family failed in business many times and they couldn’t withstand such successive defeats. While the poor have had accustomed to such difficulties, was making living even with difficulties. In order to find a better living, the rich family migrated to neighbour country after selling all their properties.
Next year, the country became prosperous with better economy. The poor family was waiting for this opportunity and developed in their business with sheer hard work. They became prosperous and owned a hotel in their own place.

The rich family who had migrated found difficulties in making living in new country because of restriction to immigrants.

Poverty in life could be a place like “metal moulding” for “bright metal constructions” in future. We can be deprived with money and talents but not with character and attitude. Poor is state of mind but not a state of life. Poor mind will fail but not poor life.
