HABIT FORMATION THROUGH SUB-CONSCIOUS MIND

What is the difference between an ecstasy a mother obtains through feeding her child and a man obtains through intoxicating drugs and drinks? The joy of a mother acquired through her service to her child tends to infinity with time. While a joy a man attain through drugs and drinks will tend to zero with time.

Mother helping her child can be compared with a man being useful to others. So, helping others help us to attain a joy which increases manifold, as day passes. Helping others results from good attitude towards others, an attitude to do good even when others are bad.

Attitude development begins with habit formation. We have to be good persistent actor to develop habits. We have to act as if; we are innate with particular character. We should not drift from our actions. Later, we can observe what we acted would have become our character.
We look into a psychological concept about attitude development using conscious and sub-conscious mind. We are completely involved in conscious mind while sub-conscious is involuntarily involved. Our daily actions are controlled by our conscious mind and we have less control over our sub-conscious mind. But, sub-conscious mind is highly powerful and stronger. Habit formation is done through sub-conscious mind. What we started as an action is made into our eternal character through sub-conscious mind. One peculiar quality of sub-conscious mind is that it doesn’t reason, anything whatever we give to it as input through conscious mind. It stores the input and motivates the conscious mind by providing processed input whenever situation requires.

For achieving simple success, we require normal human character and attitude. For achieving outstanding achievements, we require superior character and attitude. Character and attitude can be developed through persistence. So, in life, anyone can achieve anything.

What you have said above is analogous to the proverb
"Practice makes anything perfect".
